What you will need to make this recipe:

Ingredients:

2 Racks Pork Baby Back Ribs 

3 Tbsp. Butter 

16 oz. Dr. Pepper 

1 Cup. Barbecue Sauce 

(We used Shotgun Red’s “My Secret Bar-B-Q Sauce – no longer a secret)

Rib Rub Ingredients:

4 Tbsp. Yellow Mustard 1 Cup Brown Sugar Seasoning: 

2 Tsp. Kosher Salt    

2 Tsp. Black Pepper 

2 Tsp. Paprika (smoked) 

1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder 

1 Tbsp. Onion Powder 

½ Tsp. Ground Cinnamon 

¼ Tsp. Cayenne Pepper 

Crockpot Dr Pepper Ribs

In a bowl, mix all the seasonings and rub them onto the ribs. 

Place the ribs meat side up into the crockpot. Pour Dr. Pepper over the ribs and add slices of butter on top of them.

Baste with barbecue sauce and broil in the oven for 3 to 4 minutes. Remove and serve!  

Remove the back membrane from the baby back ribs, trim any excess fat, and cut the rack into four even sections. Then place them on a foil-lined baking sheet. 

 

Baste both sides of the ribs with mustard, then add brown sugar on top.

Cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 6 to 8 hours. Remove the ribs from the crock pot and place them on a foil lined baking sheet.
