Great fish breading for catfish, tilapia, crappie, walleye, shrimp, or any fish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Corn Meal
  • 1 cup Corn Flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Black Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Corn Starch
  • 1 Tsp. Red Pepper
  • 1 Tsp. Paprika
  • 1/2 Tsp. Mustard
  • 1/2 Tsp. Salt

Instructions

  1. If deep frying the fish, heat oil to 360F degrees.
  2. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together.
  3. Prepare the fish filets and place them in water, then shake off any excess water.
  4. Dredge the fish into the breading mix, shaking off any excess again, then place the fish directly into the frying pan. Cook until golden brown (when deep frying, flip the fish once, once the fish floats back to the top, cook for one more minute then remove from oil).

Notes

If you want to store this, add some citric acid to store it. Place it in an air-tight mason jar in a cool, dark place.
