Crockpot Dr Pepper Barbecue Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 Racks Pork Baby Back Ribs
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 16 oz. Dr. Pepper
  • 1 Cup Barbecue Sauce (We used Steve’s Secret BBQ Sauce Recipe)

Rib Rub:

  • 4 Tbsp. Yellow Mustard
  • 2 Cups Brown Sugar

Seasoning:

  • 2 Tsp. Kosher Salt
  • 2 Tsp. Black Pepper
  • 2 Tsp. Paprika (smoked)
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper

Instructions

  1. Remove the back membrane from the baby back ribs, trim any excess fat and cut the rack into 4 even sections. Then place them on a foil lined baking sheet. Baste both sides of ribs with mustard, then add brown sugar on top.
  2. In a bowl, mix together all the seasonings and rub onto the ribs.
  3. Place the ribs meat side up into the crockpot. Pour the Dr. Pepper over the ribs and add slices of butter on top of them.
  4. Cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 6 to 7 hours. Remove the ribs from the crock pot and place them on a foil lined baking sheet. Baste with barbecue sauce and broil in the oven for 3 to 4 minutes. Remove and serve!
