Add the cream of chicken soup and sour cream and mix together. Then add diced onion, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper and mix well.
Place a layer of tater tots on the bottom of a pre-greased 8 x 10 baking dish. Then evenly spread the chicken mixture on top of the tots.
Pour the crushed Ritz crackers evenly over the chicken. Then pour the melted butter over the crackers. Place tater tots around the outer edge of the baking dish.
Bake uncovered in the oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the crackers and tots are golden brown.
