We’ll show you how to make two types of cheese cabbage steaks, and you can be sure that your family will love them!

  • 2 Small Heads of Cabbage
  • 1 8oz. Pkg Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 8oz. Pkg Shredded Mexican Blend Cheese
  • Nonstick Olive Oil Cooking Spray
  • Sauce:
  • 1 Stick Salted Butter (melted)
  • 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic Paste
  • 1 Tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1 Tsp. Smoked Paprika

 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Rinse and dry both heads of cabbage.  Then peel off the loose green outer leaves. 
  3. Cut the bottom off of each cabbage head so they will sit level on the cutting board, but do not remove the core.  Then cut off the 2 rounded sides on each cabbage head to square them up. 
  4. Slice each cabbage head into 1 inch steaks (about 4 cabbage steaks per head).  Then place them on a flat baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and sprayed with nonstick olive oil cooking spray. 
  5. In a bowl, add the sauce ingredients, and mix together well.  Then brush the sauce on top of each cabbage steak. 
  6. Bake uncovered in the oven for 30 minutes.  Then sprinkle 4 of the steaks with parmesan cheese, and the other 4 steaks with Mexican blend cheese.  Bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and edges are golden brown.
