Slice sweet onion into rings and clean the Portobello mushrooms using a damp paper towel (do not rinse in water because the mushroom will become soggy).
Place hamburger patties in a skillet on medium-high heat. Sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce and half of the seasoning. Cover and let it cook until brown, flip them over and season the other side. Cover and continue to cook on medium heat for another couple of minutes.
Add sliced onions into the skillet with patties, and cover and cook until tender. Move patties and onions to one side of the pan, then add the Portobello Mushrooms. Cook them for about 1-2 minutes on each side.
Place slices of cheese on each patty and top with onion slices. Stack two patties together and top each with a mushroom and one more slice of cheese.
Butter the inside of the buns and toast them on a griddle until golden brown.
Spread the bottom and top of the buns with special sauce. Place the double mushroom burger on the bottom buns and add the top buns. Serve with fries, and enjoy!
