KFC Coleslaw Recipe -Copycat

Coleslaw KFC Style on a leaf of lettuce

Make this delicious KFC Coleslaw recipe at home. This is our copycat version, but we think it tastes pretty darn close! It’s an excellent side for barbecues and parties.

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups Cabbage (finely chopped)
  • 1 Large Carrot (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 5 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 Tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp. Pepper

Instructions

In a large bowl, add finely chopped cabbage and finely chopped carrot.

  1. Then in a separate bowl, add mayonnaise, sugar, apple cider vinegar, onion powder (not onion salt), salt, and pepper. Mix it together well, and place it in the refrigerator for three to four hours along with the bowl of the chopped up cabbage mix.
  2. Remove from the refrigerator, stir the salad dressing, then pour over the chopped cabbage and toss until coated well. Place it back in the refrigerator to chill for about an hour then serve!
