Jimmie Lou
Jimmie Lou's Latest CD
Jimmie Lou grew up in the Texas panhandle in what they now tag as “the trailer hood.” She started playing the guitar and singing at the age of eight and then graduated to the “school of hard knocks” at the age of twelve, singing in the Texas honky-tonks and bars with a few “names” before they were “names.” Jimmie Lou, at the age of thirty six, moved to the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas and right away begin singing at funerals, benefits and churches everywhere. She dabbled a little in recording, but not really finishing recording anything. At her performances her fans would ask for her CD, but she didn’t have one. So, she went into the recording studio, and just wanted to record something the grandkids would enjoy someday, but she has received great reviews. Jimmie Lou says, “It’s been an interesting journey, opened a few shows for people, made and ate lots of “bullonie” sandwiches, and God is the greatest.” Visit Jimmie Lou’s Web page at: www.jimmieloumusic.com or email her at grammylou@centurytel.net.
